Grief Support & Coaching

for dying, death and life transitions

Compassionate Support for Your Grief Journey

This is a personalized grief support and coaching space for anyone navigating a difficult life transition, dying, or death. I'm a Certified Thanatologist and ICF-certified coach specializing in dying, death, and grief. I'm committed to using our time together to offer undivided support as you share stories, express emotions, and make meaning of what is going on for you right now. This means I will do a lot of listening. At times there may even be moments of silence, and I welcome you to breathe through those times, knowing I hold them in peace.

I support you by holding space for your life transition, personal reflections, and/or mourning in accordance with your inner wisdom, values, pace, and process. You may be mourning many forms of loss ~ death, change of job, the end of a relationship, loss of health, and difficult life transitions. No matter the loss, I'm committed to compassionate listening and caring.

Coaching for Grief and Mourning

Dr. Alan Wolfelt, Director of the Center for Life & Loss Transition, whose work is also central to my grief support and coaching, says grief and mourning can feel like injuries and can be very difficult experiences, but they are very much normal parts of our human lives. Grief and mourning don’t make you wrong, sick, or ill. Your love and compassion for who or what you miss are powerful forces. They will support you as you navigate your own unique journey.

Everyone has six primary needs when we mourn:

  • to acknowledge the reality of the loss experienced
  • to feel the pain of this sorrow
  • to remember the person/situation/events that are being missed
  • to develop a new identity as the pain is, over time, reconciled or integrated.
  • to search for meaning and find one’s own understanding of what happened and why
  • to receive ongoing support through the grief journey of storytelling, emotional expression, and meaning-making

Is grief support right for you?

You might be drawn to grief support and coaching if you're moving through any transition that has upended your sense of normal. This work is also for those who don't have anyone in their life who feels able to sit with them through their times of change or loss. Family and friends may mean well, but they may expect grief to resolve faster than it does, or they may not understand or be willing to talk about what you are experiencing. These grief support and coaching sessions give you a place to be heard and guided. There is no timeline, only the pace that is right for you.

Your Coach and Guide

Rhea is a practitioner of conscious living and conscious dying whose work invites us to meet ourselves with tenderness and truth. Her offerings are grounded in earth-based spirituality, seasonal rhythms, and the understanding that transformation happens through slow, embodied presence.

Ritual, meditation, and yoga Nidra are central to her practice and offerings, guiding us back to pure awareness where clarity and insight arise through stillness, reflection, and integration. She creates gentle, spacious containers where we can pause long enough to remember our capacity for presence with ourselves, each other, and the mystery, trusting that the answers we seek are already within us.
