end of life education

for people called to the sacred and practical work of death care and grief support

I help people move from called to confident in death work.

You feel drawn to supporting others through death and grief, but you’re not sure if you’re equipped for it. I’ve been there too. And I’ve learned that having a compassionate heart is a beautiful place to start, but it’s not enough to do this work skillfully and safely.

No one should have to support a dying family member, friend, or patient without proper preparation. The families you’ll serve deserve more than good intentions. They deserve skilled, confident guides who can hold space for the practical and the sacred times of dying and grieving.

There are no shortcuts in this sacred work.

Death work isn’t just a skill you acquire (especially in a weekend). It’s a devotion you embody.

Tending to the dying and bereaved requires you to tend to your own wounds first. It asks you to grow compassion for yourself and others, to challenge the systems that fail people, and to become an agent of change in how our culture approaches death.

I believe in learning in a way that builds a solid foundation of both heart and skill. I combine thanatology research with spiritual wisdom so that you get both the science and the soul of this work.

This isn’t just education. It’s preparation for sacred change.

Hey there, I’m Rhea (she/her)

I’m a certified thanatologist here to create loving and brave spaces for learning more about dying, death, and grief.

Being called to end of life care isn’t enough. It must be paired with preparation and community support.

I don’t offer weekend certifications to become a death doula because the ones you will serve deserve your devotion to yourself, to them, and to continuous growth.

I’m not here to convince you that becoming an end of life guide is right for you. I’m here to help you discern for yourself and then walk with you as you prepare.

I teach from lived experience, clinical training, and professional practice.

arriving at death consciously

We don’t arrive at death awake if we haven’t journeyed through life with that same conscious awareness.

The journey is internal, and it is communal.

When we honor death as a rite of passage with rituals and ceremonies accompanying the journey, we honor the dead, our grief, and our communities.

Embracing the practice of preparing for death in compassionate and supportive ways helps us create a deeper connection and understanding of this shared human experience.
